Vietnam News Agency Southern region receives Emulation Flag from Government

At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan, Party Secretary and Director of the VNA Southern Region, said that the VNA Southern Region is a unit directly under the VNA, with the function of representing the VNA in the provinces and centrally-run cities in the Southern region, from Ninh Thuan to Ca Mau; is a revenue-generating public service unit, has legal status, independent accounting, its own seal and account.

Currently, the VNA Southern Region office is located at 116-118 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Vo Thi Sau Ward, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City. The total number of officials and employees of the VNA Southern Region office, representative units and 21 permanent offices in the provinces and cities of the Southern region is 225 people.

At the ceremony, Comrade Vu Viet Trang, Party Secretary and General Director of VNA, awarded the Government's Emulation Flag for 2022 to the VNA Southern Region. General Director Vu Viet Trang also awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Party Executive Committee of the Central Agencies Bloc to the Party Cell of the Southern Resident Agencies Management Department (under the Southern Region VNA Party Committee) for its outstanding achievements in "Excellently completing tasks" for 5 consecutive years 2018 - 2022.
