Regarding the construction progress of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway, the Dong Nai Department of Construction has just reported, warning that the completion of the project by the end of 2025 to open to traffic is likely "impossible".

Faced with the above situation, Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc has just signed and issued a document on the progress of component project 1 of Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway section passing through the area.

Specifically, after reviewing the report of the Department of Construction, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province emphasized that the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project was included in the list of important national projects, key to the transport sector.

The Prime Minister - Head of the State Steering Committee has directed that technical traffic opening must be completed before December 19.

To achieve the above goal, the signing ceremony of commitment between the investor and contractors was launched, the 140-day and night campaign was launched, and many documents were issued to urge and direct. However, up to now, the construction output of the two construction packages has only reached about 50% of the contract value, 26.9% behind schedule.

According to the report of the Department of Construction, the project's implementation situation in the past two weeks has not shown any positive changes, showing the lack of determination of the Dong Nai Province Construction Investment Project Management Board (investor of component project 1) in implementing solutions to speed up the project's progress.

Completion of technical traffic is the result to consider staff arrangement and deployment.

Completing the technical traffic opening of the project before December 19 is a political task of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee and the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee before the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Construction to serve the connection to Long Thanh airport.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province requested the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board to strictly implement the instructions to speed up the project progress, add contractors, direct construction contractors to increase machinery, equipment, materials, and workers to carry out construction in "3 shifts, 4 shifts", "not enough work during the day, take advantage of working at night"...

The management board must identify this as the top political task to focus on directing and urging contractors to speed up project implementation progress.

"The completion of the technical traffic opening of the project as directed by the Prime Minister is the result for considering the arrangement and assignment of leaders of the Dong Nai Province Construction Investment Project Management Board in the coming time," the document stated.

In addition, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province requested the Project Management Board 85 (Ministry of Construction, investor of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Component 2 project) to direct the contractor to carry out the clearance of water flows at locations of canals, rivers and streams and repair public roads and residential roads to ensure traffic safety for vehicles and people participating in traffic.

Project Management Board 85 is legally responsible in case of traffic safety loss due to delayed repairs by contractors.

Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway through Dong Nai was warned many times

Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee has issued many documents reminding and criticizing the progress of two component projects 1 and 2 of Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway through Dong Nai. Some contractors have been reminded many times.
