Bosch's technological products in mechanics, manufacturing and home repair have been present in Vietnam for a long time and are very popular with consumers.

Notably, Germany is currently Vietnam’s largest trading partner in the European Union (EU) and a leading European investor in the high-tech sector. Along with trade agreements such as the EVFTA, investment flows from Germany are expanding from traditional industries to digital transformation, green energy and automation.

According to the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Vietnam (AHK), more than 90% of German enterprises operating in Vietnam said they will continue to invest and expand production in the next 12 months, focusing on manufacturing and smart technology.

In this wave of cooperation, Bosch Group is one of the typical German enterprises. Bosch started operating in Vietnam since 1994, currently has 6,000 employees with a total investment of about 500 million euros. The enterprise operates a CVT transmission belt factory in Dong Nai and software, research and development (R&D) centers in Ho Chi Minh City, serving the domestic market and the Asia- Pacific region.

Mr. Andre de Jong, General Director of Bosch Vietnam, shared about the market potential in Vietnam.

At the exhibition, Mr. Andre de Jong, General Director of Bosch Vietnam, emphasized: “Vietnam is emerging as a dynamic development center of the region, with a young engineering force and a clear digital transformation orientation. Bosch wishes to accompany Vietnam on this journey with our technology and global experience, towards a connected, safe and sustainable future.”

According to Mr. Vijay Ratnaparkhe, President of Bosch Southeast Asia and Managing Director of Bosch Singapore, Southeast Asia is one of the most dynamic regions of Bosch globally, in which Vietnam plays a central role connecting production, software and technical services. Therefore, the Group considers Vietnam as the center of the Southeast Asia region, connecting production, software and technical services.

In fact, the presence of corporations like Bosch is contributing to technology transfer, developing highly skilled human resources and promoting Vietnam to participate more deeply in the global supply chain. This is also a testament to the direction that the two countries are pursuing together, taking innovation and green technology as the driving force for sustainable development.

Mr. Andre de Jong also emphasized that Vietnam is one of Bosch’s fastest growing markets in ASEAN. Accordingly, Bosch is preparing for a new growth phase in Vietnam, as demand for green technology, smart mobility and automated production is increasing rapidly.
