Lao Cai Electricity Company meets with news agencies and press

On the afternoon of June 16, Lao Cai Electricity Company (PC Lao Cai) organized a meeting with news agencies and newspapers on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).

Attending the meeting were representatives from the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, the Provincial Journalists Association, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; representatives from provincial press agencies and central news agencies and press organizations based in Lao Cai.

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Vietnamese revolutionary press, the Director of Lao Cai Power Company expressed gratitude to the press and media agencies for their continuous support and sharing with the power industry, providing timely information on the company's production, business, and social welfare tasks, and contributing to building the image and reputation of Lao Cai Power Company over the years.

Representatives from the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department delivered speeches at the meeting.

Representatives, reporters, and editors from provincial and central news agencies based in Lao Cai highly appreciated the cooperation and information provision of Lao Cai Power Company. They also requested that the power sector continue to cooperate closely and provide more timely information on issues of interest to readers and the public, contributing to shaping public opinion.

At the meeting, the leaders of Lao Cai Power Company also provided a general overview of the results of their production and business activities in the past period, especially the electricity supply situation during the hot season.

Regarding the implementation of the policy of merging and streamlining the organizational structure, the leaders of Lao Cai Power Company stated that the power sector is also reorganizing specialized departments, power plants, and operating teams to ensure efficient operation of the power system.

Results of the production and business performance of Lao Cai Power Company in the first 6 months of the year.

In the first six months of 2025, cumulative commercial electricity output reached over 1.2 billion kWh, an increase of 0.8% compared to the same period last year, equivalent to 40.2% of the assigned annual plan. Electricity revenue reached over VND 2,252.77 billion, an increase of 8.02% compared to the same period. The electricity loss rate was 2.13%, a decrease of 0.14% compared to the same period and 0.07% lower than planned.

Given the complex weather forecast for 2025, the Lao Cai Power Company has developed and implemented a power supply plan approved by the Provincial People's Committee since the beginning of the year. Repair and upgrade work on the power grid, as well as periodic testing, were completed before April 30, 2025, to ensure the safe operation of the power system. The Lao Cai Power Company has coordinated with businesses and major customers to proactively plan load reductions when necessary, without affecting production.
