On the afternoon of August 3rd, in Ha Long City, Ha Long Shipbuilding Company held a launching ceremony for the 45,000 DWT cargo ship, design code VB45-01, named Truong Minh Dream 05.
The vessel, with a deadweight tonnage of 45,000 DWT, is a double-hulled, single-sided bulk carrier powered by a diesel engine and a single propeller. The ship demands very high technical and operational performance, meeting all standard requirements for the construction of steel-hulled seagoing vessels. The construction process was closely supervised by Dong Bac Shipbuilding Industry Joint Stock Company and Lloyds Classification Society. The vessel has a maximum length of 185 m; a width of 31 m; and a hull height of 16 m.
At the ceremony, leaders of Ha Long Shipbuilding Company and representatives of the shipowner, the investor, Dong Bac Shipbuilding Industry Company, performed the traditional launching ceremony. The launching took place safely and on schedule. Speaking at the ceremony, the representative of Ha Long Shipbuilding Company committed to continuing to complete all construction items, ensuring progress and quality, to hand over to the investor, Dong Bac Shipbuilding Industry Company, in accordance with the terms of the contract.
On this occasion, Ha Long Shipbuilding Company held a keel-laying ceremony for its second 45,000 DWT cargo ship, designation DB45-02, for the investor, Dong Bac Shipbuilding Industry Company.
