Mao Khe Coal Company celebrates 70 years of Restoration and Development Day November 15 (1954-2024)

On the morning of November 9th, in Dong Trieu City, Mao Khe Coal Company solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of its restoration and development (November 15th, 1954 - November 15th, 2024).

Over 70 years of restoration and development, Mao Khe Coal Company has witnessed the footsteps of more than 24,500 miners; excavated over 900km of mine tunnels; and extracted over 70 million tons of coal. Throughout this journey, at each historical stage, under the direct leadership of the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industry Group , and with the support and favorable conditions provided by central ministries and agencies, Quang Ninh province, and the Dong Trieu city government, the collective workforce of Mao Khe Coal Company has always upheld the tradition of "Discipline and Unity," demonstrating the spirit of "Self-reliance and Self-improvement," diligence, and creativity in production, striving to excellently fulfill all assigned tasks.

Leaders of the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industry Group presented flowers to congratulate Mao Khe Coal Company on its anniversary.

Currently, the company is in the final phase of the 1.6 million tons/year mining project and is urgently accelerating the progress of the underground mining project to depths from -150 to -400 meters, maintaining a mining capacity of 2-2.5 million tons/year from 2025. In its sustainable development strategy, Mao Khe Coal Company will continue to promote technological innovation, apply science and technology to production; focus on developing human resources; and improve the material and spiritual lives of its workers.

On this occasion, Mao Khe Coal Company was awarded the Emulation Flag by the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises; and a Certificate of Merit from the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industry Group for outstanding achievements in labor and production emulation.
