| Pepper price forecast for May 26, 2024: Will pepper prices reach 120,000 VND/kg? Pepper price forecast for May 27, 2024: Will pepper prices continue to break records? |
According to the pepper price forecast for May 28, 2024, due to scarce supply, the price of this agricultural product is expected to remain at 119,000 - 120,000 VND/kg.
In recent years, persistently low pepper prices have led to a decrease in planted area, which is one of the main reasons for the recent surge in pepper prices. Additionally, the dry weather conditions in April in the Central Highlands region have also contributed to this.
In addition, the shortage of empty containers has driven up sea freight rates by an average of about 30% in recent weeks and is expected to continue rising, adding to the cost of agricultural products, including pepper.

This price is also nearly 50% higher than at the beginning of the year and almost 65% higher than the same period last year.
