Rescued 2 fishermen in time from sinking boat at sea

(Dan Tri) - While fishing at sea, a Quang Tri fishing boat was unfortunately sunk by waves. The victims were rescued in time by a nearby fishing boat.

On December 22, Mr. Dang Quang Hai, Chairman of the People's Committee of Trieu Lang Commune, Trieu Phong District (Quang Tri) said that a fishing boat had just sunk in the area.

At about 8:30 a.m. the same day, the boat of Mr. Tran Vinh Huu (born in 1971) and Tran Vinh Bao (born in 1985), residing in Trieu Lang commune, was fishing at sea and was unfortunately sunk by waves.

Discovering the incident, fishermen on nearby fishing boats promptly rescued the victims and brought them ashore.

The area where the boat sank was not too far from shore, so by noon on December 22, authorities and local people had successfully pulled the sunken boat and fishing gear safely ashore.
