New source of potential customers
More than 150 domestic and foreign delegates attending the seminar focused on discussing the situation of exploitation, service, promotion and advertising for the tourist market from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in 2025; analyzing market trends in 2026 and the coming years; developing promotion and advertising plans and carefully preparing for the effective exploitation of the CIS market in the next period.

2025 also marked a successful CIS tourist season when direct charter flights from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan were put into operation, with a total frequency of 16 flights/week, contributing to facilitating tourists and promoting growth from this market.
“Thanks to direct charter flights and the active participation of travel agencies, the number of CIS visitors to Da Nang in 2025 will grow impressively, becoming a potential new source of visitors and contributing to enriching the city's international tourism picture,” said Mr. Tan Van Vuong.
Head of the Department of Accommodation Management (Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang) Le Thi Ai Diep added that by 2025, about 100 hotels with 23,000 rooms (accounting for more than 50% of 4-5 star hotels and equivalent in the area) will have welcomed and served CIS guests, mainly concentrated in high-end coastal resorts.

Welcome visitors from Kazakhstan (CIS region) to Da Nang.
According to Anex Tour and Crystal Bay, it is expected that in 2026, more direct flights will be opened from Russia and CIS countries to Da Nang with a frequency of about 70 flights/month. Thus, the number of visitors from this market to Da Nang will be about 10,000 people/month, double that of 2025.
In response, the rate of 4-5 star hotels in Da Nang participating in serving the CIS market is expected to increase to about 70-80%, contributing to expanding the capacity to welcome guests and diversifying the city's high-end tourism products, gradually shifting towards increasing the market share of guests with high spending ability. It is expected that in 2026, there will be about 2,000 more 4-5 star rooms put into operation.According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang, in 2026, the city's tourism industry will continue to coordinate to welcome charter flights and promote promotion in the CIS market. In particular, in the context that this market is gradually becoming one of the potential sources of international visitors for Da Nang tourism, improving service quality and preparing specialized human resources are key factors contributing to maintaining the attractiveness and competitiveness of the city.
The Department will continue to promote foreign language training, especially Russian; develop package vacation products and medical tourism. At the same time, coordinate with airlines and international travel partners to expand flight frequency and build new tourism products suitable to the cultural characteristics of the CIS market.

Signing of cooperation between Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center and Yango Ads Vietnam to help the Han River City get closer to CIS tourists.
Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Nguyen Trung Khanh highly appreciated Da Nang’s efforts to expand and maintain the CIS tourist market in recent times. He emphasized that this market not only brings quality tourists with long stays but also contributes to diversifying the structure of international tourists to Vietnam.
“The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism will continue to support localities, including Da Nang, to promote destinations, connect airlines, and promote cooperation with strategic partners in the CIS region towards the goal of sustainable growth in 2026 and the following years,” Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh emphasized.
At the seminar, a signing ceremony took place between the Danang Tourism Promotion Center and Yango Ads Vietnam, opening up new cooperation opportunities in destination promotion. This agreement aims to apply data and modern advertising technology to enhance the visibility of Danang's image, helping the city get closer to CIS tourists, contributing to promoting the number of visitors from this market to Danang in the coming time.
