Da Nang has two projects that were awarded the Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Award 2023.

DNO - On the morning of May 17th, the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Da Nang City, in coordination with various units, departments, and agencies, organized the closing ceremony and awards presentation for the 17th Technical Innovation Competition; the 2023 Science and Technology Innovation Award; and the 19th Innovation Competition for Youth and Children of Da Nang City.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong acknowledged and praised the achievements of the scientists, technical innovators, students, and units that won awards at the competition; he hoped that the award-winning authors would continue to innovate, improve, and perfect their products and expand their models. Through this, they could apply their knowledge to production, creating widespread dissemination in the community, serving production and daily life.

City leaders requested that agencies, departments, and organizations continue to pay attention to, support, and create favorable conditions for the award-winning authors to develop and apply science and technology to production and daily life, bringing about effective results in the future.

At the same time, agencies and units continue to actively participate in national and city-level awards, competitions, and contests; guiding individuals and groups with useful scientific and technical projects, topics, initiatives, and solutions to participate.

The city will continue to pay close attention, provide thorough guidance, and create the best conditions for awards, competitions, and contests to achieve many results; encourage all sectors of the population to develop initiatives, improve technical skills, and apply the results to production and life, contributing to the successful implementation of the goals and tasks of socio -economic development and the industrialization and modernization of the city.

The report states that at the 17th National Technical Innovation Competition (2022-2023), Da Nang won 4 awards, including 2 third prizes and 2 consolation prizes; it was recognized as one of the localities that actively participated in the competition and achieved good results. At the city-level Technical Innovation Competition, 20 awards were given, including 1 first prize, 9 second prizes, 6 third prizes, and 4 consolation prizes.

For the 2023 Science and Technology Innovation Award, Da Nang had two projects awarded prizes: "Research, design, and manufacture of a machine for peeling acacia wood" by author Nguyen Tran Trung Hieu and colleagues from Chau Da Co., Ltd., which won third prize; and the project "Research on the application of high-performance concrete to produce precast components used in urban infrastructure" by author Mai Trieu Quang and colleagues from ECC Construction Consulting and Investment Joint Stock Company.

At the 19th National Creative Competition for Young People and Children, Da Nang City won three prizes, including one second prize, one third prize, and one consolation prize.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also launched the 18th Technical Innovation Competition; and the Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Award 2024.
