Mountain climbing activities have officially resumed.

The Management Board of Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area in Tay Ninh has announced the reopening of mountain climbing and hiking activities from December 12th, after more than two months of suspension to ensure safety due to the impact of storms and heavy rain. Currently, the only road route permitted is the one along the old power pole system, commonly known as the Power Pole Road.

Mandatory safety regulations

To ensure maximum safety, the management has issued specific regulations that visitors must strictly adhere to:

  • Starting times: Visitors are only permitted to begin their mountain climbing journey between 5:00 AM and 11:00 AM daily.
  • Information registration: All visitors must register their personal information at the security checkpoint at the foot of the mountain before climbing. This regulation helps the management unit control the number of people and support rescue efforts when necessary.

The management also announced a hotline number to assist climbers in emergency situations.

Special attention is required on the Power Pole route.

Visitors should exercise extreme caution when traveling along the Power Pole route as the power cable system is currently being dismantled and constructed. Careful observation and adherence to instructions from authorities are necessary to prevent accidents.

Protecting the environment and ecosystems

Throughout the journey, tourists are required to comply with environmental protection regulations:

  • Do not carry explosives or toxic chemicals.
  • Absolutely do not litter in the forest environment.
  • Acts that damage forest trees, hunt animals, or gather resources within the conservation area are strictly prohibited.

Previously, trekking activities on Mount Ba Den had to be temporarily suspended from the beginning of October 2025 due to the impact of Typhoon Bualoi. Prolonged heavy rain caused localized landslides, making the terrain slippery and posing many risks. At an altitude of 986 meters, Mount Ba Den is not only a famous spiritual destination with a modern cable car system but also a popular spot attracting many young people who love exploration and conquest every weekend.
