Da Nang: Supporting small and medium enterprises to apply AI in sales

DNVN - On June 27, the Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang in collaboration with FPT Institute of Management & Technology (FSB) Da Nang - FPT University and relevant units organized a training course on digital transformation in the field of commerce for small and medium enterprises, cooperatives... in the area.

At the training program, representatives of FPT Institute of Management & Technology (FSB) Da Nang - FPT University, Amazon Global Selling Vietnam and ECU Worldwide Joint Stock Company guided commercial enterprises, small traders, cooperatives... to access information, knowledge, and skills to effectively use digital transformation solutions in the fields of trade promotion, import-export e-commerce, and logistics. From there, they can apply them to gradually improve production and business capacity, and expand domestic and international markets.

In particular, delegates attending the training were instructed on how to apply artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze market trends to optimize communication strategies; support in creating product promotion content, designing images, and creating automatic videos ; support and practice AI exploitation techniques in multi-channel sales; update information on trends in accessing global markets through online exports, etc.

Sharing about online branding and digital content connecting the market and promoting sales, Dr. Tran Minh Tung - Director of FPT Institute of Management and Technology (FSB) Da Nang emphasized that applying AI is not a trend but a must-do, if you do not want to be eliminated.

Deputy Director of Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade Nguyen Van Tru: Digital transformation is present in every daily business activity.

According to him, AI is shaping the business development of enterprises by helping to increase productivity many times over traditional businesses. The application of AI is low-cost, easy to implement but highly effective. AI will help enterprises reduce operating costs to be competitive with other similar products.

“Business in the digital context is no longer about “selling what customers need” but “selling what customers need, what we have, but better than competitors” and AI will help businesses do that: Personalize products according to customers, create products that stand out from competitors”, said Dr. Tran Minh Tung.

According to Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang, Nguyen Van Tru, digital transformation is no longer a story of the distant future but is present in every daily business activity, from product promotion, order management, online sales to cashless payments.

“In particular, for small and medium-sized enterprises, which account for over 95% of the total number of enterprises in Da Nang City, digital transformation is an opportunity to optimize operations and enhance competitiveness in an increasingly digital environment,” Mr. Nguyen Van Tru emphasized.

According to him, in order for digital transformation to not only stop at awareness but become specific and effective actions, each individual and organization needs to continuously update knowledge, apply new technology, exploit digital data, automate processes and increase digital interactions with customers and partners. He hopes that the training program will help businesses apply digital transformation to business operations, gradually improve production and business capacity, expand markets, and increase the value of products and services.
