Congress of Delegates of the Fatherland Front of Yen Khanh district, term 2024-2029

On May 23rd, the Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) of Yen Khanh District for the 2024-2029 term was held at the Yen Khanh District Cultural Center.

Attending the Congress were leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; members of the Standing Committee of the Yen Khanh District Party Committee, former members of the Standing Committee of the Yen Khanh District Party Committee from various periods, and 189 delegates representing the national unity bloc in the district.

During the past term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and member organizations in Yen Khanh district have continuously innovated the content and methods of their activities, focusing strongly on the grassroots, especially residential areas, promptly grasping the situation of the people and summarizing the legitimate opinions and recommendations of the people to report to the Party committees, government and the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Actively disseminate information and mobilize union members, association members, and all segments of the population to effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and regulations, and the resolutions of the District Party Committee, District People's Council, and District People's Committee.

Promoting democracy and strengthening social consensus for the goal of a prosperous people, a strong nation, democracy, fairness, and civilization. The great national unity and religious unity are continuously consolidated and promoted.

The campaigns and patriotic emulation movements are increasingly spreading widely, with the focus being on the "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" campaign and the "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" campaign, linked with the "All people join forces to build new rural areas" emulation movement.

By 2023, the district had 10 communes meeting the advanced new rural standards, 2 model new rural communes, 186 model new rural residential areas, and the district itself had achieved the advanced new rural standard.

Over the past five years, the entire district has mobilized over 8 billion VND for the "Gratitude and Social Welfare" Fund, supporting the construction of 89 new houses and the repair of 48 solidarity houses.

In addition, the work of social supervision and criticism, and participation in Party building and government building has seen many innovations and creative approaches, becoming increasingly systematic and effective.

The activities of the Front Committees in residential areas have been increasingly improved, and their regular meetings have been maintained. The Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in the district has implemented many programs and plans to coordinate actions with various levels, sectors, and member organizations, creating unity and cohesion, contributing to the successful achievement of the district's socio-economic goals.

With the spirit of "Unity-Democracy-Innovation-Development," the Congress has set forth 6 action programs and 2 breakthroughs to be implemented in the new term, during the 2024-2029 term.

The goal is for 100% of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels to effectively and practically implement the emulation movements and campaigns initiated and led by the Front.

Annually, 100% of residential areas organize the "National Unity Day in Residential Areas," encompassing both ceremonial and festive activities. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district annually presides over at least two monitoring sessions, one critical review conference, or one dialogue; the commune-level committee annually presides over at least one monitoring session, dialogue, and one social critique conference.

Each year, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels effectively implement at least two "Skilled Mass Mobilization" models.

100% of the Standing Committees of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in the district have signed and effectively implemented the coordination regulations with the People's Councils, People's Committees at the same level, and relevant departments. They have effectively fulfilled the Fatherland Front's function of participating in Party building and government building…

The Congress unanimously elected 68 members to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Yen Khanh district for the 2024-2029 term; and elected the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Yen Khanh district, consisting of 4 members, with Mr. Nguyen Cao Cuong, Deputy Head of the District Party Committee's Organization Department, serving as Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Yen Khanh district for the 2024-2029 term.

The Congress also held consultations to elect 23 official delegates to attend the 12th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province, for the term 2024-2029.

On this occasion, 10 collectives and 20 individuals were commended and rewarded by the People's Committee of Yen Khanh district for their outstanding achievements in Front work during the 2019-2024 term.
