As Ramadan comes to an end, Muslims around the world celebrate Eid al-Fitr, one of the most important holidays in the Islamic calendar. During this time, Muslims typically gather with family and friends to pray, exchange gifts, and enjoy delicious food. It is a time for forgiveness, compassion, and unity, as people celebrate the end of a month of spiritual renewal.

Eid al-Fitr celebrations vary from country to country but generally include activities such as visiting family and friends, giving gifts, enjoying parties, wearing new clothes, and visiting the graves of loved ones.

Speaking at the event, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Vietnam, Mohammed Ismaeil A. Dahlwy, gave an overview of Eid al-Fitr. Eid al-Fitr reminds Muslims to be grateful for what they have and to help those less fortunate. This is called zakat (charity), one of the five pillars of Islam. Zakat is an obligation whereby Muslims who are able to do so donate to charity for those less fortunate. The number of zakat increases significantly during Ramadan and continues to be an important part of Eid al-Fitr.

In Saudi Arabia, after the Eid rituals, people usually gather with children who receive new clothes, toys, and "Eidia" gifts, which may include money (similar to the lucky money in Vietnam). Afterwards, everyone enjoys coffee, dates, sweets, and traditional dishes.

"Eid Al-Fitr shares many similarities with the Vietnamese Lunar New Year celebration. Organizing Eid Al-Fitr in Hanoi is a good opportunity for Saudi Arabia to showcase its image, as well as that of other Arab and Islamic countries, to Vietnamese friends," Ambassador Mohammed said.

At the event, the embassies of Bangladesh, Palestine, Libya, Morocco, Pakistan, Indonesia, Iran, and other countries also participated, showcasing their cultures and customs during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday, and presenting video clips introducing their cultures, countries, and people.

Attending the ceremony, guests not only immerse themselves in the vibrant and festive atmosphere of Eid al-Fitr, but also experience the Arab and Islamic culture; explore and learn about customs, traditions, and cultural identities, as well as enjoy the characteristic dishes, pastries, and cuisine of these countries.

The ceremony also featured a variety of cultural activities such as henna art, circus performances, unique magic shows, and children's statue painting...
