(Dan Tri) - Hanoi University of Science and Technology has stopped dividing admission quotas according to each admission method as planned in the admission plan announced a month ago.

According to information from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the removal of the quota division according to each admission method is to comply with the draft admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training .

Previously, this school divided the percentage 20-40-40 for 3 admission methods, respectively talent, thinking assessment test scores, and high school graduation exam scores. Compared to 2024, the graduation exam score target decreased by 10%, in return, the thinking assessment test score target increased by 10%.

With the new adjustment, Hanoi University of Science and Technology will consider all methods, taking scores from high to low. Admission scores are converted to a common scale with different coefficients.

This conversion factor will be carefully calculated to ensure fairness between methods, while ensuring the admission opportunities of qualified candidates.

In addition, the conversion coefficient will also show the school's priority with specific admission methods.

At the admissions consulting program on March 1, Dr. Vu Duy Hai, Head of the Admissions and Career Guidance Department, said that the school plans to prioritize the method of selecting talent and assessing thinking.

The school has not yet announced the formula for converting points of the methods.

Previously, the National Economics University also said it would not divide enrollment quotas among admission methods in this year's admission season.

Dr. Le Anh Duc, Head of Training Management Department, National Economics University, said that this change is based on the draft university admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, so schools do not need to allocate quotas between methods.

For the National Economics University, the scale used for conversion is 30. Candidates can still apply in many ways, such as using the capacity assessment test score of Hanoi National University (maximum 150), using the thinking assessment test score of Hanoi University of Science and Technology (maximum 100)...

After converting all to a 30-point scale, the school will take out the highest score for consideration.
