TPO - On the evening of August 17th, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) officially announced the results of the admission methods for the 50th cohort of regular undergraduate students in 2024. Accordingly, the average cut-off scores for all admission methods increased at both the Ho Chi Minh City and Vinh Long campuses.
In 2024, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics implemented 6 admission methods, including:
● Option 1: Direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training ;
● Option 2: Admission based on candidates who have graduated from a foreign high school program and possess an international certificate;
● Option 3: Selection of excellent students;
● Option 4: Admission based on academic performance according to subject combinations;
● Option 5: Admission based on the results of the aptitude test;
● Option 6: Admission based on the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam.
Accordingly, the cutoff scores for 56 training programs in Ho Chi Minh City (school code KSA) have increased significantly compared to 2023. Specifically, the cutoff scores for PT3 range from 48 to 83; PT4 from 49 to 85 points; PT5 from 800 to 995; and from 23.8 to 27.2 points for PT based on high school graduation exam results. This range of admission scores corresponds to candidates with excellent academic performance or higher, possessing international English certificates equivalent to IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL iBT 73 or higher, mostly students from specialized schools and top-performing students at the provincial/city level.
At UEH - Vinh Long (school code KSV), the score ranges for PT3 and PT4 are 49 and 40 respectively (an increase of 1-8 points compared to 2023); PT5 is 550-650 (an increase of 50 points); notably, for PT6 (admission based on high school graduation exam results), the admission score range increased significantly by 1-5 points, fluctuating from 17-22 points.
