The highest entrance score for Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for Gifted Students in 2025 is 42.75 - for the chemistry specialized class. This is also one of the three specialized classes that saw an increase in their entrance score compared to 2024, an increase of 2.8 points.
In the same group, the benchmark scores for Literature and English also increased, by 1.75 and 0.4 points respectively.
The remaining 9 specialized classes saw significant score drops. The sharpest decline was in the Chinese language specialization, from 40.5 points in 2024 to 37.15 points in 2025. This was followed by the mathematics specialization, from 42.25 points in 2024 to 39 points in 2025. The computer science specialization also decreased by 3 points, from 41 points to 38 points.

The trend of lower admission scores also occurred at Nguyen Hue Specialized High School.
Nine out of eleven specialized classes at this school saw their scores drop. The math specialization experienced the sharpest decline, from 39 to 36. The history specialization dropped from 36 to 33.25.
Two specialized classes saw an increase in scores: chemistry and literature. In particular, the chemistry class increased by 3.6 points, from 34.65 to 38.25.

Son Tay Specialized High School saw a decrease in scores across 6 out of 9 specialized classes. The most significant drop was in Physics, with a decrease of 5 points, from 31 to 26. Other specialized classes with scores of more than 2 points included English, Geography, and History.
The three specialized classes that saw an increase in their entrance exam scores at this school are chemistry, biology, and literature. The chemistry class increased by 3.55 points, from 27.95 to 31.5.

Chu Van Specialized High School, in particular, showed a reversed trend. The school had 4 specialized classes with decreased scores and 6 specialized classes with increased scores.
The biggest increase was in specialization, with a rise of 4.25 points, from 35.75 to 40.
The four subjects with reduced scores are mathematics, computer science, physics, and English, with reductions ranging from 0.35 to 1.5 points.

In the non-specialized high school sector, the admission scores also decreased significantly. 92 out of 115 schools saw a decrease in scores compared to 2024. Two schools decreased by more than 8 points, and 15 schools decreased by more than 3 points. Only 11 schools increased their admission scores.
