On the evening of July 23rd, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Banking announced the minimum admission scores for university entrance exams in 2025 based on various admission methods.

For the combined admission method, the minimum score is 75 (on a 150-point scale) applicable to all majors/training programs. Candidates graduating in 2024 must have an average academic score of 6.5 or higher in the second semester of 11th grade and the first and second semesters of 12th grade. Candidates graduating in 2025 must have an academic performance of at least "good" in the second semester of 11th grade and the first and second semesters of 12th grade.

The admission score is the converted score based on the subject combination of the three semesters, plus the converted score based on other criteria (if any) and the total converted priority points (if any). Priority points for eligible candidates and regions are converted on a 150-point scale.

Conversion points based on other criteria = Conversion points from international English certificates + Conversion points from the gifted student selection exam + Conversion points from specialized/gifted schools + Conversion points for excellent student ranking.

For the V-SAT exam score-based admission method in 2025, the minimum score is 225 points (on a 450-point scale), including priority admission points according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and component scores of subjects in the combination >= 15 points. This applies to all majors/programs using the V-SAT computer-based university entrance exam results in 2025 (for the English Language major, the English score is multiplied by 2 and converted to a 450-point scale).

For the 2025 high school graduation exam score-based admission method, the minimum score is 18 points (on a 30-point scale), including priority admission points according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, applicable to all majors/programs (for the English language major, special program and standard regular program, the English subject score is multiplied by a factor of 2 and converted to a 30-point scale).

Specifically, the international bachelor's program with a partner institution awards degrees through an admissions process based on academic transcripts and interviews, and does not apply the method of considering the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam.

For Law, Economic Law, and Economic Law (partially in English), the minimum total admission score is 18 points (on a 30-point scale; for other admission methods, the scores are converted to a 30-point scale). For admission combinations including Mathematics and Literature, or Mathematics and Literature, the minimum score must be 6 points or higher (on a 10-point scale; for other admission methods, the scores for Mathematics and Literature are converted to their respective 10-point scales).

*Ho Chi Minh City Open University also announced the minimum admission scores for 2025. The minimum score applied to the admission method based on high school graduation exam scores is the total score of 3 subjects without weighting and without adding bonus points or priority points (if any), and is equal across all subject combinations. Scores from the computer-based university entrance exam (V-SAT), scores from the National University of Ho Chi Minh City's aptitude test, and academic results from high school years will be converted.

The minimum admission scores for each major are shown in the following table:
