At the historical site, the delegation offered incense at the memorial monument for the national Youth Volunteer Corps martyrs and the heroic martyrs who fell at Dong Loc Crossroads. The delegation respectfully commemorated the 10 female Youth Volunteer Corps members of Squad 4, Company 2, 55th Youth Volunteer Corps, Ha Tinh province - who bravely sacrificed their lives on July 24, 1968, while filling bomb craters and repairing roads to keep traffic flowing after a fierce bombing raid by enemy aircraft.

To commemorate the great contributions of the heroic martyrs, especially the 10 female Youth Volunteers, the State has built the Dong Loc Crossroads Special National Historical Site complex, with many components such as: a traditional exhibition house, a monument to the 10 female Youth Volunteers, a victory monument, and a memorial stele for national Youth Volunteer martyrs... This place has become a sacred destination, attracting tens of thousands of people and tourists to pay their respects every July.
