The Golden Star of Vietnam Award is one of the leading prestigious awards for outstanding brands and businesses in Vietnam, aiming to honor business brands in the context of international economic integration. Since its inception in 2003, the Golden Star of Vietnam Award has selected and honored 2,527 outstanding Vietnamese brands and products. Many reputable businesses in Thanh Hoa have had the honor of receiving this title.
In 2024, for the sixth time, Tien Nong Agricultural and Industrial Corporation (Tien Nong) was honored in the Top 100 Golden Stars of Vietnam. With a 30-year journey, Tien Nong has become a leading enterprise in providing plant nutrition products and solutions, contributing to increased productivity, agricultural product value, and improved economic efficiency for farmers. Continuously improving and innovating its products, Tien Nong's research is still receiving significant investment, especially in infrastructure and technology. Its national standard laboratory (VILAS 1519) serves the research process, from nutritional analysis to product quality testing, demonstrating the company's commitment to developing high-quality products and new generation fertilizers suitable for various crops and soil types.
Nguyen Hong Phong, General Director of Tien Nong Agricultural and Industrial Joint Stock Company, shared: “With a vision to pursue a circular economy model to efficiently and economically utilize natural resources, Tien Nong will continue to promote research into new technologies and modern production methods to improve product quality and minimize environmental impact. The company will also build a model for sustainable production transformation, moving towards solutions to reduce emissions from production activities to consumption behavior, with the immediate goal of achieving carbon neutrality at the Tien Nong Bim Son Plant Nutrition Plant by 2025.”
In 2024, besides Tien Nong Agricultural and Industrial Joint Stock Company, Thanh Hoa province also had three other outstanding enterprises that received the Golden Star of Vietnam award: Viet Hung Group Joint Stock Company, Hoang Tuan Limited Company, and Precision Machinery Company No. 11, Z111 Thanh Hoa Factory. These are all exemplary enterprises of Thanh Hoa province, meeting comprehensive criteria in production, business, and social responsibility.
Viet Hung Group Joint Stock Company (Thanh Hoa City) is a multi-sector enterprise operating in real estate, education, and restaurants. Established in 2009, it faced many difficulties and challenges; however, with its astute management and operational skills, the company has developed in the right direction with a suitable strategy. Currently, the company has 15 member companies, including subsidiaries, affiliated teams, joint ventures, and partnerships, and employs over 500 outstanding and highly skilled workers in various fields. Building upon its foundation, through the construction and development of industrial clusters and factories, the company has contributed to promoting the development of the local industry, creating jobs for thousands of workers. The service facilities and restaurants in Nga Son district, and the Victory EDU education system have also contributed to building a high-quality educational environment, helping children access modern teaching content and methods.
It is known that in 2024, the Golden Star of Vietnam Award honored 200 outstanding enterprises excelling in production, business, brand building, and international integration. In 2024, the total assets of these enterprises reached approximately 8 trillion VND, revenue reached 799,000 billion VND, profits reached 115,000 billion VND, tax contributions amounted to 65,000 billion VND, and jobs were created for 405,000 workers. These enterprises have made significant contributions, particularly through the dynamism, creativity, and pioneering spirit of their business leaders in the context of deep international integration; demonstrating their ability to adapt quickly, seize opportunities, overcome difficulties, and affirm their position on the international stage.
For the honored businesses in Thanh Hoa, along with their effective production strategies, they are also socially responsible enterprises. For example, Tien Nong annually allocates billions of VND to charitable activities for the community, such as sponsoring over 200 orphaned children, supporting struggling workers, assisting people affected by natural disasters and floods, and donating funds for housing construction for poor households. Businesses like Viet Hung Group Joint Stock Company and Hoang Tuan Limited Company also actively participate in many charitable programs, supporting the construction of houses for the needy, assisting people affected by natural disasters, and supporting the lives of those in difficult circumstances. These are special milestones, demonstrating the pioneering role of Thanh Hoa businesses with the aspiration to develop while building a better community.
