* VIETNAMESE VOLLEYBALL TEAM IN A "BATTLE" WITH THAILAND
The upcoming match between the Vietnamese and Thai women's volleyball teams is considered very exciting and intense by the coaches for several reasons. The first factor, as coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet noted, is that the gap in skill level between the two teams has narrowed. This was demonstrated in the final match of the first leg, where Vietnam narrowly lost 2-3 to Thailand, and on the FIFA World Volleyball Federation (FIVB) rankings, the Vietnamese team (ranked 22nd in the world) is now very close behind Thailand (ranked 21st).

Another factor making this encounter so appealing is the Vietnamese team's home advantage, with the support of a large fan base. Vietnamese players like Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Tran Thi Bich Thuy, and Nguyen Khanh Dang have maintained consistent form. In the first round, Bich Tuyen and Bich Thuy were the two most dangerous attackers for the Vietnamese team, causing the Thai team to falter on several occasions. Meanwhile, Thailand has the notable return of hitter Chatchu-on, along with experienced players like Thatdao, Pornpun, and Thanacha, demonstrating their strong determination to defend their title.

The Thai national team aims to surpass host nation Vietnam to defend their number one position in Southeast Asia.
