Tuyet Dung believes that fixed plays will help the Vietnamese women's team surprise their opponents.

“Against strong opponents, if we are stuck and cannot attack, then set pieces are very important and help us decide the match.

I really hope that the Vietnamese women's team will take advantage of this and bring back good results," Tuyet Dung said.

Besides, the midfielder of Phong Phu Ha Nam Club also emphasized the importance of collective play and the fighting spirit of each individual.

“Coach Chung pays attention to all situations on the field. Not only me but all team members are trained and carefully noted by the coach.

Football is a team sport so every position has to try. In the upcoming tournament we will face opponents with big bodies.

Therefore, recently, the coach often lets the whole team practice set-piece situations, performed in short distances," the pillar of the Vietnamese women's team shared.

Recently, the Vietnamese women's team also finalized the schedule for two friendly matches with New Zealand and Spain on July 10 and July 15 respectively.

Back to the afternoon practice session on June 30, Coach Mai Duc Chung divided the team into two halves to practice attack and defense.

Defenders are trained to defend against high balls and overlapping passes, and to organize defense in set pieces.

Meanwhile, the midfielders and strikers practice coordination on the wing and then cross to the opponent's 16m50 box.

It is expected that on July 5, Huynh Nhu and her teammates will leave Hanoi for New Zealand to head to the 2023 World Cup.
