Welcoming the first flight from Ahmedabad, India to Da Nang

The first flight carrying 120 tourists after the launch of the Da Nang - Ahmedabad route has landed at Da Nang International Airport.

Following the inauguration ceremony of the flight route connecting Da Nang city with Ahmedabad city in India on the afternoon of October 23rd, Vietjet Air flight VJ1972, carrying 120 tourists from Ahmedabad, landed at Da Nang International Airport on the morning of October 24th.

The first tourists from Ahmedabad received a warm welcome from representatives of the Da Nang City People's Committee, the Da Nang City Department of Tourism , Vietjet Air, the Central Vietnam Aviation Authority, Da Nang International Airport, and Da Nang International Terminal Operating Joint Stock Company.

The new Da Nang – Ahmedabad route is operated by the Da Nang City Department of Tourism in cooperation with Vietjet Air, with a frequency of two round-trip flights per week using Airbus A320 aircraft, 180 seats per flight. The Da Nang – Ahmedabad route (flight number VJ1971) departs from Da Nang at 7:10 PM and lands in Ahmedabad at 11:25 PM, with a frequency of two flights per week on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The Ahmedabad – Da Nang route (flight number VJ1972) departs from Ahmedabad at 0:25 AM and lands at Da Nang International Airport at 6:55 AM, with a frequency of two flights per week on Thursdays and Sundays.

According to Tan Van Vuong, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism, India is a market with great potential for Da Nang tourism.

According to information from the Da Nang City Department of Tourism, Ahmedabad is the largest city in the state of Gujarat and the 7th largest metropolitan area in India, with a population of approximately 5.1 million people. Ahmedabad is an attractive destination, similar to Da Nang and Central Vietnam due to its unique blend of ancient cultural heritage and modern development.

Earlier on the afternoon of October 23rd, the inauguration ceremony for the Da Nang – Ahmedabad (India) flight route took place at Da Nang International Airport. The ceremony was attended by Miss Universe India 2024 - Rhea Singha.
