Dong Thap: Do not let the situation of late payment of Social Insurance happen

On October 13, Mr. Tran Tri Quang, Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee, said that he has just requested provincial departments, branches, sectors, People's Committees of communes and wards to direct agencies and units that employ workers to transfer social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance in full and on time as prescribed, to avoid late payment or insufficient monthly payment.

Accordingly, Mr. Tran Tri Quang requested the relevant authorities to strictly comply with the laws on social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance; coordinate with the Provincial Social Insurance to remind and urge employers to pay the late payment amount and fully pay the insurance amount arising in the month.

At the same time, organize inspection teams (with police officers participating) on ​​social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance at labor-using units. Collect files of labor-using units with signs of criminal violations of social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance and transfer them to the police for verification and handling according to regulations.

In addition, the People's Committee of Dong Thap province requested the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation to supervise the implementation of policies and laws on labor and social insurance at labor-using units that have established trade union organizations...

As of August 2025, Dong Thap province had 6,533 employers late in paying social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance, with a total amount of VND 388,915 billion, many of whom had long-term debts, affecting the rights of workers.
