It seems that a single trip to Thailand is not enough for most Vietnamese tourists. Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and China are also popular destinations that Vietnamese travelers choose to return to multiple times.

On August 27th, Agoda's "Destinations That Attract Returning Visitors" ranking revealed that 75% Vietnamese tourists They often choose to return to their favorite tourist destinations.

Compiled from Agoda's search data earlier this month, the rankings show that not only Thailand, but also Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and China are destinations that Vietnamese tourists choose to return to multiple times.

Based on data from travelers who recently booked trips to their favorite destinations, the results show that approximately 47% of Vietnamese travelers want to "explore" on their upcoming trip. Meanwhile, 39% of Vietnamese prefer " culinary " experiences, and 26% said they look forward to experiencing "culture and art."

64% of travelers have returned to their favorite destination 1-3 times in the past 10 years, representing the largest proportion of repeat visitors. Notably, approximately 8% of travelers have returned to their favorite country more than 10 times.

Mr. Vu Ngoc Lam, Country Director of Agoda Vietnam, shared that while some travelers enjoy exploring many different new destinations around the world , others prefer to return to their favorite countries.

Filtered by Asian region, Japan, Thailand, and Vietnam are destinations that attract returning Asian tourists due to their convenient travel options.

According to Agoda's "Returning Destinations," Vietnamese travelers return to Thailand, Japan, and South Korea not only because they are interesting destinations but also because of the memorable experiences they find there.

When asked about factors that attract Vietnamese tourists to return, the majority cited "convenience of transportation" (50%) as the top factor, followed by "local cuisine" (47%) and "convenient location" (34%). In addition, factors such as "safety and cleanliness" and "pleasant previous experiences" also significantly contribute to tourists' decision to return.

Based on data filtered by Asian region, Japan, Thailand, and Vietnam are the top choices. tourist destination Asians are returning. 44% of Asian visitors said "convenience of travel" was the primary factor in their decision to return.
