TPO - To reduce traffic congestion during the upgrading and expansion of Au Co Street, the Hanoi Department of Transport has announced a plan to adjust traffic flow on the section from Thang Loi Hotel intersection to Xuan Dieu intersection (near Quang An flower market).

On August 20, the Hanoi Department of Transport announced a traffic diversion plan on Au Co Street (from the intersection of Thang Loi Hotel to Xuan Dieu intersection (near Quang An flower market).
Accordingly, two-way traffic will be organized for all vehicles on Au Co Street (on the main road) inside the dike; and on the local road (outside the dike) from the Thang Loi Hotel intersection to the Xuan Dieu intersection (near Quang An flower market).
Traffic organization is controlled by traffic lights and traffic controllers at 3 intersections on Au Co street, including: Xuan Dieu intersection (near Thang Loi Hotel), Tu Lien intersection (lane 124 Au Co), Xuan Dieu intersection (near Quang An flower market).
Continue to organize one-way traffic for cars on Xuan Dieu Street (in the direction and section from the intersection with Au Co (near Quang An flower market) to the intersection with Au Co (near Thang Loi Hotel).
The project to expand Au Co - Nhat Tan road from Thang Loi hotel intersection to Nhat Tan bridge intersection is 3.7km long (part of the project to build an overpass at the An Duong - Thanh Nien intersection, phase 2).
Implemented since June 2020, according to the plan, it was expected to be completed in 2021, however, up to now, the project construction has been basically completed. Traffic reorganization on Au Co route from August 20, 2024 to limit traffic congestion.
According to Tien Phong reporter 's observation, the project to expand Au Co street from Thang Loi hotel to Xuan Dieu intersection has been paved and opened to technical traffic. The roadway from the previous 2 lanes for motor vehicles has now been widened from 16.5 to 21 meters - equivalent to 4 lanes for motor vehicles, the road surface is divided into two directions by a hard median strip.

The road surface of the section from Thang Loi Hotel to Xuan Dieu intersection (near Quang An flower market) is basically completed.
The intersection at Quang An flower market area has completed the installation of traffic lights and is now open to two-way traffic.
Other items such as street lights, median strips... are being urgently deployed for completion.
The road section from Quang An flower market to the road leading to Nhat Tan bridge is still being urgently completed by construction units.
At this road section, workers and machines are still concentrated and actively working to complete the final stages of the project.
The reorganization of traffic on Au Co Street has brought significant convenience to people's travel, creating a quick and efficient connection between central districts such as Ba Dinh, Hoan Kiem and Noi Bai International Airport.
At 5:00 p.m. - peak traffic hour, Au Co Street is still quite clear with the road widened to 4 lanes on each side.
