Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC), a leading global telecommunications solutions provider, and the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) have announced a strategic cooperation agreement aimed at equipping Vietnamese students with the necessary skills and knowledge to participate in and accelerate the national digital transformation process with 5G and other advanced digital technologies .
Ms. Rita Mokbel, Director of Ericsson Vietnam, shared: "The collaboration between Ericsson and PTIT is an important step in developing a highly skilled workforce, a key element in Vietnam's digital transformation. Through this partnership, Ericsson aims to contribute to building a robust ecosystem that supports Vietnam's digital future."
Within the framework of this cooperation, Ericsson will provide the Ericsson Educate digital learning platform to PTIT students, opening up opportunities to access a wide range of learning resources. Ericsson will also collaborate with PTIT on research in various fields such as artificial intelligence (AI) and automation, and provide learning opportunities combined with practical experience, such as participation in projects or internship programs for students. In addition, Ericsson will support the Ministry of Information and Communications in initiatives to enhance skills and prepare for the nationwide deployment of 5G.
Associate Professor Dang Hoai Bac, Rector of PTIT, shared: “The cooperation with Ericsson will help our students access knowledge about advanced technologies such as 5G, AI, automation, Machine Learning, and many other fields, as well as gain practical experience and understanding in the industry. This will help them effectively utilize these technologies as soon as they enter the workforce, contributing to the country's progress towards a digital economy .”
