After more than half a month of installation, the stage for the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024, which the organizing committee has just revealed to be the most unique and spectacular ever, is basically complete and ready for the opening night on December 5th. This will be one of the highlights of this year's festival, expected to be truly different and magnificent.
A spectacular stage that is "unique and different".
According to Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province, this year's stage design reflects the idea that the 10th Flower Festival is one of the flower festivals that affirms the potential and strengths of the locality, especially expressing the aspiration to rise in the new era, the era of national progress.
Accordingly, a vibrant space will take the audience on a journey of supreme artistic experience, satisfying both their visual and auditory senses, "exploding" in Lam Vien Square on the opening night of December 5th with many spectacular and elaborately staged artistic programs. In particular, the organizers affirm that the main stage is designed to be "unique and different" from previous events.
With 20 years of experience in design, the Creative Director of the Opening Ceremony of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival, artist Pham Xuan Hai, revealed: "The stage for the Opening Night was designed as a symphony of colors, with tall and short shapes, large flower clusters, domes, and walls of flowers."
“Each scene, each segment is a highlight that emphasizes the literary significance of each period: the flower of the origin of heaven and earth; the flower of the people of Lam Dong; the flower of convergence from all directions. It is crystallized and converged through the nuances of sound, light, and special effects from LED screens, mapping screens, laser screens, and drone light, all combined into an artistic masterpiece in the language of cinema,” said artist Pham Xuan Hai.
Representatives of the organizing committee affirmed that the stage for the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024 is one of the largest stages ever held in Da Lat, with a total performance area of nearly 2,000 square meters. The highlight of the stage is the five large LED screens with a total area of nearly 1,000 square meters. A large rotating stage system and an electric hoist system are also utilized in the artistic performances.
The stage, with its set-like scenery, features colorful miniature decorations of flowers characteristic of Da Lat, such as roses, mimosa, hydrangeas, and wild sunflowers. The wild sunflower is particularly used to represent the spirit of unity and resilience of the people of Da Lat.
Art spaces create a journey of diverse emotions.
According to the leaders of the Lam Dong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the opening night of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024 will feature a multi-tiered stage and multi-dimensional space, creating an unlimited experience for thousands of visitors. The space filled with thousands of flowers will awaken the senses, stimulating enjoyment and leading visitors on a journey to discover the vibrant land of thousands of flowers, a city of creative music with dreamy souls.
Mr. Pham Xuan Hai, Director of Gia Pham Trading Joint Stock Company (the unit organizing the Opening Ceremony of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival), also revealed that the Opening Night was heavily invested in to create a magnificent stage effect and creative visuals, with the desire to bring impressive and exhilarating moments to the performances of hundreds of artists and leading singers in Vietnam.
Bringing the cultural identity of "Da Lat Flowers" to a stage with rigorous performance standards, the organizing committee representatives committed that the vibrant symphony space of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024 will be a place where tens of thousands of spectators will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a range of emotions, directly experience top-notch performances, and affirm the position of the largest flower festival in Vietnam.
