The opening ceremony stage will be designed like a film set, combining underwater, stage, and aerial staging.
In 2024, the opening ceremony of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival will take place at 8 PM on December 5th at Lam Vien Square, Da Lat City. The event is expected to be broadcast live on VTV1, Vietnam Television.
The 10th Da Lat Flower Festival in 2024, with the theme "Da Lat Flowers – A Symphony of Colors," will continue to affirm the brand of "Da Lat – Vietnam's Flower Festival City," a UNESCO Creative City of Music , and one of the Top 5 most impressive festival cities in Asia.
The opening ceremony of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival – 2024, directed by General Director Pham Hoang Giang, Music Director Duong Cam, Creative Director Pham Xuan Hai, Stage Director Nguyen Phuong Lam, and Choreographer Hai Truong, is divided into three parts: Symphony of Heaven and Earth; Endless Experience; and Brilliant Harmony.
In particular, the "Symphony of Heaven and Earth" will take the audience back in time to 2004, when Da Lat first successfully organized the "Flower Festival," deeply moving the public and tourists from all over.
In 2005, Da Lat was recognized by the Prime Minister as "Da Lat – Vietnam's Flower Festival City," and the festival is held every two years.
Building on its success, the Da Lat Flower Festival has been held nine times since then, each with its own theme and message, creating a unique brand for the festival and a popular destination for tourists every year-end.
Part 2, "Endless Experiences," will bring you emotionally evocative artistic spaces about Da Lat – the city of dreams, the city of love… The program will introduce cultural, historical, and scenic spaces and destinations in Da Lat; promote tourism, cuisine , and experiences in Da Lat City and Lam Dong Province.
Part 3 of the program will be a dazzling symphony showcasing a captivating Da Lat, brimming with the colors of spring, vibrant with a festive atmosphere, and filled with joyful songs in every street and alleyway…
According to the plan, the opening ceremony of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival in 2024 will feature artists such as Ho Ngoc Ha, Ho Quynh Huong, Nguyen Ngoc Anh, Ho Trung Dung, Van Mai Huong, K'Druynhs, The Wings group, Rapper Ram C, and Violinist JmiKo. Also performing will be the Southern Central Highlands Art Troupe, Coi Nguon Group, HT Dance Troupe, Mai Trang Dance Group, Bui Thi Xuan High School, Lam Dong Youth Center, and Background Band…
According to General Director Pham Hoang Giang, the opening ceremony will help locals and tourists better understand Da Lat. Da Lat is not just about flowers, but more accurately, it's about the flowers of the people and the people of the flowers. To highlight this message, General Director Pham Hoang Giang used the wild sunflower as the main image for the opening ceremony. This flower has enduring vitality, always reaching towards the sun, and is associated with the spirit of overcoming difficulties and looking towards a bright new future.
“Flowers are the essence and character of the people of Da Lat, beautiful and colorful. The scenery helps people love the people of Da Lat, love Da Lat, and love Vietnam and its people even more. The Da Lat Flower Festival, organized annually by Lam Dong province since 2005, has become a tourism brand attracting both domestic and international visitors. The festival provides an opportunity for the city to showcase and exhibit local vegetables, flowers, and ornamental plants, as well as those from other regions across the country and some other nations. Its purpose is to attract tourists to visit and relax in Da Lat, boosting the city's economy. The festival also aims to honor the value of flowers and the flower cultivation industry, encourage investment in Da Lat's flower industry, and promote the image, beauty, culture, and people of Da Lat.
