For the 2024-2025 school year, 97 of the best projects were selected to participate in the city-level Science and Technology competition for high school students.
On the morning of December 23rd, at Viet Duc High School (Hoan Kiem district), the Hanoi Department of Education and Training (DOET) held the opening ceremony of the city-level Science and Technology Competition for high school students in the 2024-2025 school year.
For the 2024-2025 academic year, 97 of the best projects were selected to participate in the city-level competition. The projects were submitted in four fields: Physics - Mechanical Engineering - System Software; Chemistry; Biology - Medicine - Environment; and Social Sciences - Behavioral Sciences.

The annual Science and Technology Competition, open to students from grades 8 to 12, has attracted significant interest from students and society as a whole.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong reviewed the outstanding achievements of the city's students in recent years in terms of academics, scientific research, application of knowledge, and solving real-world problems.
Mr. Tran The Cuong affirmed that the city's leaders always pay attention to education, including the issuance of appropriate rewards for students with outstanding achievements in academics and scientific research.
Accordingly, on December 10, 2024, the City People's Council passed a Resolution stipulating the amount of獎金 (bonus money) for students of the city who achieve high results in domestic and international examinations, and for teachers who have achieved success in training and nurturing students to win awards, with the highest award reaching 300 million VND per student.
Therefore, students who win top prizes in the Science and Technology competition will also receive awards.
In addition, the teachers who mentored and guided the award-winning students also received a reward equal to 70% of the student's prize money.

According to the Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, this is the first time that students from the city who achieve high results in national and international competitions have received such high rewards. It is hoped that this will give them more motivation and determination in their studies, training, and participation in competitions.
Hanoi is one of the localities that consistently achieves high results in the national science and technology competition for students organized annually by the Ministry of Education and Training.
In the 2023-2024 academic year, at the city-level competition, the judging panel awarded prizes to 97 projects, including: 9 first prizes, 21 second prizes, 32 third prizes, and 35 consolation prizes.
The Hanoi Department of Education and Training selected four outstanding projects to participate in the national science and technology competition, three of which won awards: two first prizes and one third prize.
