This morning (November 10th), the Hanoi Department of Education and Training solemnly organized the "Hanoi Students' March" program to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Hanoi Education and Training sector (1954-2024).
The event took place in the flower garden area of Ba Kieu Temple, Le Thach Street, Dinh Tien Hoang Street, the pedestrian area around Hoan Kiem Lake and its vicinity.

The program brought together nearly 3,000 students, teachers, and representatives from various units and schools, all sharing a sense of honor and pride in the 70-year development achievements of Hanoi's Education and Training sector.

The "Hanoi Student March" parade was elaborately organized with 38 groups: the Red Flag Team - carrying the National Flag; the Army Ceremonial Group of the General Staff; the Ministry of Public Security Ceremonial Group; 30 groups of junior high school students from 30 districts, counties, and towns; a group of 70 female students from Chu Van An High School; a group of ethnic minority students; groups of junior and senior high school students from several international schools; a circus group; and a puppet troupe.

Each group included performances featuring trumpet playing, drumming, and cymbal playing, combined with singing and cheerleading movements set to music.

The parade, led by students in bright uniforms, waved to people passing through Dinh Tien Hoang Street.
Each performance by the students conveyed their love and pride for their beautiful homeland, showcasing the artistic talents nurtured at their beloved school – where they study and train every day.

A group of 70 middle and high school students from several international schools in Hanoi, dressed in their respective national costumes, paraded through the streets.

The diverse and elaborately staged performances by the circus troupe, full of vibrant colors, attracted the attention of locals and tourists on the pedestrian street.

The parade attracted the attention not only of Hanoi residents but also of foreign tourists.

Mr. Jonathan Wallace Baker, Head of UNESCO's Representative Office in Vietnam, expressed his delight at being present at the event, noting that 2024 marks the 25th anniversary of Hanoi being recognized by UNESCO as a City for Peace, and also the establishment of the UNESCO Office in Hanoi.
"As the students march today through the peaceful heart of Hanoi, I hope they will feel proud and appreciate the heritage of their ancestors and their fellow citizens, from all ages and backgrounds. May they hold their heads high, sharing their stories and achievements with international friends about peace, global citizenship, creativity, and, of course, education," shared Jonathan Wallace Baker.

During the ceremony, participating units were also presented with commemorative flags for the "Hanoi Student March" program.

People captured beautiful and meaningful moments from this year's "Hanoi Student March" parade.
