Today, January 16th, the Party Committee and Command of the Border Guard Force of Quang Tri province held a meeting with press agencies to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Snake 2025.

In 2024, the Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard Command collaborated with media agencies to develop numerous features, topics, and plans to extensively publicize the unit's movements and models in firmly protecting border sovereignty and security , training, combat readiness, building a regular and disciplined system, and effective models and methods in mass mobilization, border guard diplomacy, social welfare, and crime prevention and control.
During the year, the Provincial Border Guard Command deployed 246 officers and soldiers, 1 vessel, and mobilized 11 fishing boats to participate in rescue operations, rescuing 3 ships/12 crew members in distress at sea, 6 sunken vessels, handling 7 fires, and 4 storms. They also mobilized 1,453 officers and soldiers to assist the people in preventing, combating, and overcoming the consequences of storms and floods.
Effectively implement and maintain the operation of self-governing groups for border areas and national boundary markers; safe boat and ship groups; self-governing docks and wharves; and self-governing security and order groups in villages and hamlets. Organize the "Border Guard Spring - Warming the Hearts of the People" program with a total value of over 3.7 billion VND and successfully organize the conference summarizing 15 years of twinning between border communities with many pairs of villages.
In coordination with relevant agencies, 289 cases/335 individuals were arrested for violating the law. The agency spearheaded the arrest of 23 cases/67 individuals and coordinated the arrest of 13 cases/29 individuals involved in the illegal trafficking and transportation of narcotics, seizing 100 kg of methamphetamine, 48.3 kg of heroin, 3.9 kg of ecstasy, and 77,744 methamphetamine tablets; arrested 100 cases of illegal trading and transportation of goods, seizing goods worth approximately 3.9 billion VND; coordinated the arrest of 1 case/1 individual involved in the illegal trading and transportation of explosives, seizing 35 kg of explosives; spearheaded and coordinated the arrest of 13 cases/12 individuals involved in the illegal trading and transportation of fireworks, seizing 1,129 kg of various types of fireworks; and arrested 67 cases/70 individuals involved in illegal immigration...
The activities of the provincial Border Guard have become a source of inspiration for creative works, producing valuable journalistic pieces that leave a lasting positive image of the Ho Chi Minh's soldiers in the new era. At the meeting, delegates exchanged and shared many measures to strengthen propaganda in the coming time, emphasizing the development of specific programs and plans; thoroughly implementing Party resolutions; and improving the living conditions of officers, soldiers, and people in border areas...
Colonel Dinh Xuan Hung, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard, highly appreciated the role of central and local news agencies and press organizations in coordinating and effectively carrying out information and propaganda work through mass media in the past, contributing to spreading a positive image of the force. He also expressed his hope that in the future, press agencies will continue to cooperate and comprehensively disseminate information on all aspects of the work, contributing to the Provincial Border Guard's successful fulfillment of its nhiệm vụ of firmly protecting national sovereignty and border security.
