As Garmin's flagship multisport GPS watch, fenix has always been at the forefront of pioneering innovation: from the fenix 6 (2020) - the world's first solar smartwatch, to the fenix 7 (2022) with multi-band GNSS technology and a built-in LED flashlight.
Now, Garmin continues that journey with the fenix 8 MicroLED, the world's first smartwatch with a premium MicroLED display, and the company also expands the feature with inReach technology on the fenix 8 Pro line (including 2 versions: fenix 8 Pro AMOLED and fenix 8 Pro MicroLED).

"The Fenix series has always been a flagship product line that clearly represents Garmin's spirit of innovation and groundbreaking technology. With the Fenix 8 MicroLED, we set a new standard for the smartwatch market - delivering an unprecedentedly bright and clear display and cutting-edge innovations that help users track maps, workout data, health metrics and smart notifications in unprecedented clarity" - Ms. Susan Lyman, Vice President of Global Marketing at Garmin shared.
World's first MicroLED display breakthrough
With over 400,000 individual LEDs (1-10 microns in size), the fenix 8 MicroLED reaches up to 4,500 nits of brightness, making it the brightest and sharpest smartwatch display ever. The display also features a 15% wider color gamut, 6x higher contrast, and an ultra-wide viewing angle for clear images even when viewed from an angle. Durability is also improved by up to three times with significantly improved anti-image retention and screen longevity.
Along with the fenix 8 MicroLED, Garmin also introduced the fenix 8 Pro Series (AMOLED and MicroLED) - the first generation of GPS multisport watches with inReach technology. Thanks to that, users can text, call, share location or send global SOS via satellite or LTE, even without carrying a phone.
In remote areas with only satellite connectivity, the device still allows for texting and location signals. With LTE, the fenix 8 Pro Series expands the experience with calling, voice messaging, LiveTrack sharing, and real-time weather updates.
In an emergency, users can activate SOS to connect directly to Garmin Response - a 24/7 global support center. With over 20 years of experience and having coordinated over 17,000 rescues worldwide, this team is capable of providing support in over 200 languages, ready to respond quickly and effectively in any situation.
Born to accompany users on every journey, the fenix 8 Series is designed to meet waterproof standards when diving, equipped with leak-proof metal buttons, durable sensor protection, MicroLED touch screen with high-quality titanium bezel, and comes with an LED flashlight to support observation in low light conditions.
The product integrates the most advanced Garmin features: from advanced training and performance tracking (Endurance Score, Hill Score), daily exercise suggestions, pre-installed TopoActive maps, flexible routing, to ECG application, sleep coach, Garmin Pay one-touch payment, and a series of other health monitoring and connectivity features.
With a premium design, cutting-edge display technology and a durable battery of up to 10 days, the 51mm version of the fenix 8 MicroLED not only serves sports training or exploration , but also fully meets the needs of health care and an active lifestyle every day. The product is expected to officially go on sale on October 13 in Vietnam with a retail price of 54.89 million VND.
