Today's fuel prices, effective from 3 PM on March 13, 2025, show a decrease of 680 VND/liter for E5 RON 92 gasoline and 753 VND/liter for RON 95 gasoline; diesel prices have also dropped significantly.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance have just adjusted retail gasoline and diesel prices in today's adjustment period (March 13). The prices will be applied from 3 PM on March 13, 2025.

Specifically, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased by VND680/liter, down to VND19,281/liter; RON 95 gasoline decreased by VND753/liter, down to VND19,649/liter.
The price of 0.05S diesel decreased by 435 VND/liter, to 17,898 VND/liter; kerosene decreased by 483 VND/liter, to 18,090 VND/liter; and the price of 180CST 3.5S fuel oil decreased by 155 VND/kg, to 16,995 VND/kg.
During this price adjustment period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance did not allocate or utilize the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund for E5RON92 gasoline, RON95 gasoline, diesel fuel, kerosene, and fuel oil.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the average price of refined petroleum products in the world between the price adjustment period of March 6, 2025 and the price adjustment period of March 13, 2025 was 77.140 USD/barrel for RON92 gasoline used to blend E5RON92 gasoline (a decrease of 3.586 USD/barrel, equivalent to a 4.44% decrease); 78.592 USD/barrel for RON95 gasoline (a decrease of 3.710 USD/barrel, equivalent to a 4.51% decrease); 84.182 USD/barrel for kerosene (a decrease of 2.528 USD/barrel, equivalent to a 2.92% decrease); and 84.304 USD/barrel for 0.05S diesel oil (a decrease of 2.240 USD/barrel, equivalent to a 2.59% decrease). 464,792 USD/ton for 180CST 3.5S fuel oil (down 4,242 USD/ton, equivalent to a 0.90% decrease).
In morning trading on March 13, world oil prices rose as US government data showed tighter-than-expected oil and fuel inventories.
Specifically, at 7:00 AM (Vietnam time), Brent crude oil reached $70.95 per barrel and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil reached $67.68 per barrel. At the close of trading yesterday, both Brent and WTI crude oil prices increased by approximately 2%.
On March 12, Reuters, citing data from the U.S. Energy Information Agency (EIA), reported that U.S. crude oil inventories increased by 1.4 million barrels last week, lower than analysts' forecasts of a 2 million barrel increase. However, the EIA report also indicated a sharp 5.7 million barrel decrease in U.S. gasoline inventories, compared to analysts' predictions of a 1.9 million barrel decrease.
Previously, on March 6th, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance adjusted gasoline prices downwards. Specifically, the price of RON 95 gasoline decreased by 710 VND/liter, with the selling price being 20,400 VND/liter.
Similarly, the price of E5 gasoline was also adjusted down by 690 VND/liter, bringing the selling price down to 19,960 VND/liter.
Meanwhile, the price of diesel fuel was adjusted down by 620 VND/liter, bringing the selling price to 18,330 VND/liter.
During this price adjustment period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance did not allocate or utilize the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund for E5RON92 gasoline, RON95 gasoline, diesel fuel, kerosene, and fuel oil.
| Thus, the price of RON 95 gasoline in Vietnam has decreased for three consecutive sessions. Currently, this fuel price has reached its lowest level in nearly four years, equivalent to the price in June 2021 (on June 11, 2021, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline was 19,040 VND/liter, and RON 95 was 20,160 VND/liter). From the beginning of the year until now, RON 95 gasoline has increased 5 times and decreased 6 times. Diesel fuel has increased 5 times and decreased 6 times. |
