On October 10th, the qualifying matches for the Southern region of the 2025 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament kicked off in Ho Chi Minh City. The fierce competition for a place in the next round provided fans with high-quality matches.
Many fans have not hesitated to put aside their work and travel long distances to cheer on their favorite team.
With the desire to further motivate the players to give their best performance, fans of the teams have devised ways to travel together in order to boost the team's morale.
Most notably among them was the Vietnam Maritime Trade Union's fan club. They arrived at the Ton Duc Thang University stadium very early and attracted attention with their red shirts, holding red flags with yellow stars, and displaying banners.
As the chairman of the Da Nang Port team's fan club, Mr. Le Van Minh (an employee of Tien Sa Port Enterprise, Da Nang, under the Vietnam Maritime Corporation) enthusiastically shared with Tuoi Tre Online newspaper. The fan club traveled from the evening of October 9th to be able to accompany the team on the morning of October 10th for the opening ceremony of the 2025 Vietnam Workers and Employees Football Tournament.
Established in 2022 by a decision of the general director, the fan club brings together not only current employees but also retired members and the wives and children of the players. Notably, to be present at the stadium, some members proactively requested leave and handed over their work to cheer on the team, while the company's leadership provided financial support for the club's travel from Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh City.
Regarding the team's cheering uniforms, this year the fan club donned vibrant red shirts sponsored by the management. With the slogan "Work hard - Cheer enthusiastically," the fan club also chose the song "My Hometown Port" as their traditional anthem and sang it continuously throughout the match, expressing their pride in representing the Vietnam Maritime Corporation.
The electricity sector has numerous facilities nationwide, and the fan club of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union football team is equally enthusiastic. After learning that the electricity sector's team was competing in this tournament, many people working in the electricity sector in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces arranged their schedules to come and cheer on the team.
Ms. Tran Thi Bich Thuy (a supporter from the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union) arrived early and cheered enthusiastically. Ms. Thuy shared: "I was very impressed with the atmosphere in the stadium and the developments of the matches below."
