Safely rescuing a family isolated by floodwaters

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - Due to the impact of storm No. 5, many places in Sao Vang commune were deeply flooded, leaving many families completely isolated.

Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police used a canoe to reach the isolated family.

On the night of August 25, the Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Department (PCCC and CNCH), Thanh Hoa Provincial Police received a report that a family of 3 was isolated due to rising flood waters in the area next to Chuoi stream, Sao Vang commune. Accordingly, Mr. TXĐ, Ms. LTLP and their 3-year-old daughter were trapped in a house with a deep flood on the first floor, surrounded by rushing water, at great risk of collapse.

Upon receiving the information, the Fire Police Department and Rescue Department quickly deployed forces and vehicles to the scene.

With a spirit of urgency, determination, and not afraid of danger, the Fire Police and Rescue Force approached the scene, using jet skis to approach and rescue the victims.

Although the rescue work encountered many difficulties due to the darkness and strong currents, after just over 2 hours, the police force brought the 3 victims to safety, in stable health.
