Director of VNU-HCM Vu Hai Quan receives new assignment

On September 3, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed a decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Vu Hai Quan, Director of Ho Chi Minh City National University, to hold the position of Permanent Deputy Minister of Science and Technology .

The decision takes effect from the date of signing.

Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Hai Quan

Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Hai Quan was appointed as Director of VNU-HCM on January 14, 2021 while he was the Permanent Deputy Director of VNU-HCM.

Over the past 4 years, as the head of VNU-HCM, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Hai Quan and the staff, lecturers and employees of VNU-HCM have focused on developing VNU-HCM to become a leader in the Vietnamese education system, always pioneering, innovating and taking the lead in improving the quality of education and serving the community.

Having been formally trained domestically and internationally, and having worked in many positions from low to high levels at the University of Natural Sciences and VNU-HCM, Mr. Quan is an active supporter of the policy of university education innovation, contributing many specific contents in the strategy of building and developing VNU-HCM. He is also a person with in-depth expertise in the field of artificial intelligence, able to participate in building and implementing policies on digital transformation and strategic solutions related to the 4th industrial revolution.
