Meeting of press management agencies of Quang Tri province in 2024

Today, December 31st, the Propaganda Department of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee chaired and coordinated the 2024 meeting of press agencies in Quang Tri province to implement tasks for 2025. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Ho Dai Nam, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee.

In 2024, the governing bodies of the press in Quang Tri province regularly directed the provision and guidance of information, paid attention to allocating operating funds, supporting investment in technical equipment, and focusing on training and developing cadres and the team of journalists in the province.

Directing Quang Tri Newspaper, Quang Tri Radio and Television Station, and Cua Viet Magazine to strengthen the dissemination of information about major political events and anniversaries taking place in the province in 2024; implementing documents in the field of press management, providing information to the press, monitoring, directing, and guiding the content of propaganda by press agencies in a timely and high-quality manner.

The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, in coordination with the Department of Information and Communications and the Provincial Journalists Association, has focused on coordinating the direction and management of the press, emphasizing political and ideological education, professional ethics for journalists, and the implementation of the Press Law and the Code of Conduct for Vietnamese Journalists on Social Media for local media agencies. Quang Tri Newspaper, Quang Tri Radio and Television Station, and Cua Viet Magazine have proactively organized and successfully completed their tasks of information dissemination and propaganda, comprehensively reflecting the political, economic , cultural, social, defense, security, and foreign affairs situation of the province. This has contributed to guiding public opinion and creating consensus among officials and the people to participate in the implementation of the province's socio-economic development tasks.

The content disseminated by the provincial press agencies is rich, diverse, and presented in an engaging manner, free from professional errors, and has been recognized and highly appreciated by readers.

Quang Tri Newspaper places special emphasis on improving the professional skills of its reporters and editors to meet the demands of multimedia journalism, creating favorable conditions and requiring reporters and editors to fully participate in journalism training courses. In addition, Quang Tri Newspaper actively participates in social and charitable activities, contributing to better implementation of the province's social welfare work.

Quang Tri Radio and Television Station has focused on improving the quality of its programs; proactively applying information technology and digital applications in organizing live radio broadcasts and livestreams on its fanpage; and cooperating and exchanging programs with other stations, thereby enhancing effectiveness, interaction, and reach.

Concluding the conference, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Ho Dai Nam highly appreciated the province's media agencies for proactively carrying out their information and propaganda tasks and for transforming and innovating their activities to meet the trend of digital transformation in journalism in recent times.

Regarding the tasks for 2025, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Ho Dai Nam, requested that provincial media agencies closely adhere to the province's key political tasks to proactively organize propaganda and information guidance; and pay attention to the propaganda work on the restructuring and reorganization of agencies and units within the political system in accordance with Resolution 18 of the 12th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, including the streamlining of the local media agency apparatus.

Continue to effectively implement the Quang Tri Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, in which the application of information technology and digital transformation are promoted to build leading multi-media press agencies at press agencies.

Strengthen the management of reporters and journalists to ensure they post information on social media in accordance with the law, the Code of Conduct for Vietnamese Journalists on Social Media, and the 10 regulations on professional ethics for journalists.

Develop plans and organize activities to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam's Revolutionary Press Day on June 21 (1925 – 2025), linking them with important anniversaries and events of the homeland and the country.
