The program will be held on May 11th at the Hanoi Children's Palace, Nam Tu Liem District (Hanoi).

Mr. Tran The Cuong stated that the program aims to promote career counseling, attract the attention of businesses, and raise awareness among students and parents about professions and employment trends in the labor market.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training will soon collaborate with Tien Phong Newspaper to organize the first Science and Technology Festival.

Mr. Cuong stated that this year's enrollment rate for 10th grade in public high schools is guaranteed at 64%. In addition, schools are also guiding students towards vocational training immediately after junior high school. In reality, parents still have the mindset of wanting their children to graduate from high school and go to university, rather than attending vocational colleges or technical schools.

Leaders of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training provided information about the program "Hanoi Vocational Education and Training Linkage Day with the Labor Market in 2025".

However, vocational schools currently have a high employment rate for graduates, with many fields and schools achieving a 100% employment rate. Some professions that meet societal needs offer salaries that are not low at all.

The Department of Education and Training is organizing the "Hanoi Vocational Education and Training Linkage Day with the Labor Market 2025" program with the participation of 56 vocational education institutions. These units will provide enrollment counseling with over 101,000 enrollment slots across more than 330 majors and professions at various training levels.

In particular, 50 businesses participated in the job fair, offering approximately 3,000 job positions across 14 industry sectors: electronic component manufacturing technology, mechanical processing technology, business, marketing, cooking, security, service; sales, cashier, technical staff; overseas study, labor export, automotive technology, information technology, etc.

In addition, there are units showcasing vocational skills such as: beverage mixing, baking, food preparation, beauty, skincare, car painting; hands-on experience in various professions; and displays of books.

The event attracted over 10,000 participants, including approximately 8,000 students in their final year of junior high school, high school, and vocational training centers.

18% of students pursue vocational training after lower secondary school.

According to Mr. Le Minh Thao, head of the Department of Continuing Education - Vocational and University Education, Hanoi Department of Education and Training, the current rate of junior high school graduates participating in vocational training is 18%. The Hanoi Education sector is implementing many activities and solutions to increase the rate of students participating in vocational training, including advising on policies to support learners; organizing many career counseling and guidance programs, etc.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training emphasized two key points in the event: firstly, requiring vocational education institutions to assign qualified staff to provide thorough and in-depth advice to each student and parent, avoiding the practice of simply distributing leaflets; and secondly, allowing students to experience a stage in the product manufacturing process.

According to Mr. Thao, in 2024, the percentage of trained workers in Hanoi reached over 74%, and this number is expected to increase in the future.

Every year, approximately 600-700 businesses partner with vocational training institutions to collaborate on training and recruitment. In some fields, 100% of graduates find employment with good incomes. In some sectors, businesses even place orders for workers from the moment students begin their training programs.

The main activities at the "Hanoi Vocational Education and Training Linkage Day with the Labor Market 2025" include:

- Providing admissions counseling and career guidance for vocational education to graduating junior and senior high school students in the city.

- Signing of cooperation agreements between a number of leading businesses and vocational secondary and college schools.

- Job fairs provide career counseling and job placement services for students and job seekers.

- Exhibitions showcasing products, DIY training equipment models; demonstrations of vocational skills; hands-on experiences in various professions; and book displays.

- Visit and experience advanced learning and recreational activities organized by the Hanoi Children's Palace.
