The program will be held on May 11 at Hanoi Children's Palace, Nam Tu Liem District (Hanoi).

Mr. Tran The Cuong said that the program aims to promote career counseling, attract the attention of businesses, and raise awareness among students and parents about careers and employment trends in the labor market.

In the near future, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will coordinate with Tien Phong Newspaper to organize the first Science and Technology Festival.

Mr. Cuong said that this year, public high school enrollment is guaranteed to be 64%. In addition, schools also guide students to participate in vocational training right after junior high school. In fact, parents still have the mentality of wanting their children to graduate from high school and go to university, not to study at vocational colleges or intermediate schools.

Leaders of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training informed about the program "Festival connecting vocationaleducation in the capital with the labor market in 2025".

However, vocational schools currently have a high employment rate for graduates, with many majors and many schools achieving a 100% rate. There are majors that meet social needs and require high salaries.

The Department of Education and Training organized the program "Festival connecting vocational education in the capital with the labor market in 2025" with the participation of 56 vocational education units. The units will provide admission consultation for more than 101,000 targets of more than 330 majors and occupations at all training levels.

In particular, 50 businesses participated in recruiting workers at the job fair with about 3,000 job positions for 14 groups of industries and occupations: Electronic component manufacturing technology, mechanical processing technology, business, marketing, cooking, security, service; sales, cashier, technical staff; study abroad, labor export, automotive technology, information technology...

In addition, there are also units demonstrating vocational skills such as: beverage mixing, baking, food processing, beauty, skin care, car painting; practical experience of the profession; displaying book products.

The festival attracted more than 10,000 participants, including about 8,000 junior high school and high school students and vocational education and continuing education centers.

18% of students study vocational training after secondary school

Mr. Le Minh Thao, head of the Department of Continuing Education - Vocational and Higher Education, Hanoi Department of Education and Training, said that the rate of secondary school graduates participating in vocational training is currently 18%. The Hanoi Education sector has implemented many activities and solutions to increase the rate of students participating in vocational training, including advising on support policies for learners; organizing many counseling and career guidance programs, etc.

The two contents that the Hanoi Department of Education and Training emphasized in the festival program were to require vocational training institutions to send specialized staff to provide in-depth and thorough consultation to each student and parent, not to distribute leaflets in a "just for show" manner, and to allow students to experience a stage of product production.

According to Mr. Thao, in 2024, the rate of trained workers in Hanoi will reach more than 74% and this number will increase in the coming time.

Every year, about 600-700 businesses cooperate with vocational training institutions to coordinate training and recruitment. In some professions, 100% of students and graduates have jobs and good incomes. In some professions, businesses even order labor from the moment students start participating in the training program.

Main activities at the "Festival connecting vocational education in the capital with the labor market in 2025" include.

- Admissions consulting, career guidance and vocational education for junior high school and high school students in the city.

- Signing cooperation agreements between a number of typical enterprises and vocational colleges and secondary schools.

-Job fair to advise and introduce jobs to students and workers.

- Display and introduce products, self-made training equipment models; demonstrate vocational skills; experience practical aspects of the profession; display book products.

- Visit and experience advanced learning and entertainment activities organized by Hanoi Children's Palace.
