Hanoi begins construction of the West Thang Long road project, worth nearly 1.3 trillion VND.

On January 15th, Dan Phuong district held the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction project of the Tay Thang Long road (section from Ring Road 3.5 to Dan Hoai canal road).

The West Thang Long road construction project, from Ring Road 3.5 to Dan Hoai Canal, involves the construction of a new, synchronously designed road with a length of 5.8km; the road's cross-section is as follows: Section 1 from Ring Road 3.5 to Ring Road 4 is 60.5m; Section 2 from Ring Road 4 to Dan Hoai Canal is 40m, with a total investment of 1,298 billion VND.

Representatives from Hanoi city pressed the button to officially launch the construction project of the West Thang Long road.

Mr. Nguyen Thac Hung, Vice Chairman of the Dan Phuong District People's Committee, said that the project's investment policy was approved by the Hanoi City People's Council in Resolution No. 30. Immediately after the investment policy was approved, the Dan Phuong District People's Committee focused its resources and urgently coordinated with relevant departments and agencies of the city, directing the district's specialized departments and agencies to concentrate on completing the project's investment procedures. To date, the Dan Phuong District Investment and Construction Project Management Board has signed a contract with the joint venture of Deo Ca Construction JSC and Deo Ca Group JSC, with a completion time of 450 days from the date of signing.

"The investment in the construction of the Tay Thang Long road (section from Ring Road 3.5 to Dan Hoai Canal road) is a concrete implementation of the policy approved by the City People's Council, gradually completing the transportation system in the western area of ​​the city according to the plan."

"The road, along with sections of the West Thang Long arterial road that have been and are being invested in, will form a vital and continuous route connecting the West Ho Tay area to Dan Phuong district and further to Phuc Tho, Son Tay, and Ba Vi, linking inter-regional traffic with the city's main road network," said a leader of Dan Phuong district.

According to the Hanoi People's Committee, the completion of this road will also help create a smooth traffic network, contributing to the completion of the city's infrastructure framework and meeting the transportation needs of the people. This road also contributes to fulfilling the criteria for Dan Phuong's transformation from a district to a city district, contributing to the socio -economic development of the city and the district.

The Dan Phuong District Project Management Board has been requested by the Hanoi City People's Committee to closely coordinate with the district's departments, the People's Committees of the communes, the construction unit, and other relevant units to focus human resources on implementing the construction to ensure progress and quality, promptly resolve any arising issues, and complete the project for handover and effective use as soon as possible.
