After 17 years of organization, up to now, the Award continues to receive the active, positive and enthusiastic participation of 18 Associations and 35 affiliated Associations. The number of works by authors who are not members of the Vietnam Journalists Association is 169 works.
This year, the number of works submitted to the Award was 1,894, of which 1,774 works qualified for the Preliminary round. The Preliminary judging process was carried out seriously, strictly, in accordance with the Guidelines and Regulations of the Award Council. The 11 Subcommittees of the Preliminary Judging Council worked impartially, completed the Preliminary judging on time, and achieved good quality.
According to observations by reporters at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace in Hanoi on the afternoon of June 21st, all preparations for the awards ceremony have been completed.
The red carpet was rolled out very early. It is known that this year, among 157 works in the Final Round, the Council discussed, evaluated and voted to select: 9 A Prizes, 24 B Prizes, 46 C Prizes, 45 Encouragement Prizes to award the 17th National Press Awards - 2022.

The annual National Press Awards are always a major event, attracting special attention from the press nationwide. They are the most prestigious awards given to outstanding journalistic works that have made positive contributions to the country's journalism career.
According to the judging panel, this year's entries were of good quality, closely aligned with reality, highly topical, and proposed many innovative solutions and effective approaches with widespread impact. The quality of the entries was assessed as fairly consistent, and the gap between central and local press narrowed in many categories.
On the afternoon of June 21st, the equipment for the 17th National Journalism Awards Ceremony was carefully checked by technicians.
Television stations also arrived very early to set up their equipment in preparation.
The 17th National Press Awards Ceremony - 2022 will be solemnly held at 8:00 p.m. tonight, June 21, at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace and broadcast live on VTV1 channel of Vietnam Television, VOV1 of the Voice of Vietnam .
