The People's Committee of Vinh Bao district ( Hai Phong city) has just issued a document on strengthening the management of aquaculture in hot and complex weather conditions.
According to the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting, from now until the end of 2024, the weather will change towards extreme conditions, with heatwaves, droughts, tropical depressions, rain, and storms occurring irregularly.
To enhance proactive response to heatwaves, droughts, storms, tropical depressions, and floods in aquaculture in 2024, the People's Committee of Vinh Bao district requests the People's Committees of communes and towns to focus on directing and implementing measures for aquaculture households in developing plans, preparing sufficient raw materials and fuel, allocating human resources, and organizing the implementation of measures to prevent and respond to heatwaves, storms, and floods in aquaculture.

In addition, ensure adequate supplies of materials and chemicals for treatment and contingency planning to address situations involving unusual aquatic animal deaths due to hot weather, storms, floods, or disease outbreaks. Regularly monitor the area, promptly disseminate information, and guide people on implementing technical measures to stabilize production during prolonged periods of hot weather, storms, and tropical depressions.
