In the first six months of the year, Ham Yen district focused on directing agricultural and forestry production according to seasonal schedules, with a total spring crop yield of over 24,500 tons, reaching 100.9% of the plan; planting over 2,000 hectares of forest, reaching over 79% of the plan; granting FSC forest certification to over 5,300 hectares; completing the evaluation and ranking of 13 more OCOP 3-star products, 15 products have been certified with trademarks, and 1 product has been recognized with a geographical indication; 11 out of 17 communes have achieved new rural standards.

The total industrial production value of the district reached nearly 860 billion VND, exceeding 50% of the plan; it attracted over 86,500 tourists , generating over 103 billion VND in social revenue from tourism.

For the last six months of 2024, the District Party Committee requested a focus on key tasks such as: concentrating on land clearance and resettlement for the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang expressway project and other key projects; focusing on directing the communes of Yen Lam, Yen Thuan, Bang Coc, and Thai Hoa to implement the criteria for achieving new rural areas and advanced new rural areas according to the roadmap.
