5-star airline Emirates opens flights to Da Nang from June 2

DNVN - On the afternoon of March 3rd, the Da Nang Department of Tourism announced that, according to information from Emirates Airlines, starting June 2nd, the world's largest airline will operate flights connecting Middle Eastern countries, European cities, and the US to Da Nang with a frequency of 4 flights per week.

According to an announcement on March 3rd, Emirates Airlines will strengthen its presence in Asia by launching four weekly flights to Da Nang (Vietnam) and three weekly flights to Siem Reap (Cambodia) via a layover in Bangkok (Thailand).

Emirates, a leading global airline, will launch flights to Da Nang starting June 2nd, 2025.

Da Nang is the third destination in Vietnam chosen by Emirates for its flight routes, after Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Round-trip flights to Da Nang will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with two classes of seating: 35 business class seats and 368 economy class seats.

Adnan Kazim, Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates, stated that Vietnam plays a strategic role in the airline's Southeast Asia network. The expansion of operations to Da Nang as a third destination in Vietnam comes at an opportune time, following the signing of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the UAE and Vietnam.

“We believe that this new route will enhance bilateral trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. We sincerely thank our local partners and Da Nang International Airport for their support,” Mr. Adnan Kazim emphasized.

According to Emirates, the flight schedules are optimally designed to easily bring passengers from major European cities such as London, Paris, Amsterdam, Manchester, Milan, Rome, or major US cities to Da Nang. In particular, Emirates' launch of routes to Da Nang also facilitates easy access for affluent travelers from the Middle East to the city on the Han River.

According to the airline's published schedule, flight EK370 will depart from Dubai at 9:00 AM (local time) and arrive in Bangkok (Thailand) at 6:25 PM (local time). It will then depart from Bangkok at 8:10 PM (local time) and land in Da Nang at 9:50 PM (local time). In the return flight, EK371 will depart from Da Nang at 11:30 PM, arriving in Bangkok at 1:10 AM (local time), and then depart at 3:40 AM (local time) to land in Dubai at 6:50 AM (local time).

“The launch of direct flights to Da Nang by Emirates – a globally recognized 5-star airline – will open up opportunities to promote the city to 150 countries and territories. This will also create opportunities to attract and serve tourists, while preparing the conditions for connectivity, trade, and business when Da Nang operates as an international financial center and free trade zone,” said Truong Thi Hong Hanh, Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism.

Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh also stated that Da Nang will attract international tourists on the Dubai – Bangkok – Da Nang flight route with unique tourism products and ecosystems, such as the DIFF International Fireworks Festival and tourist areas like Sun World Ba Na Hills, Danang Downtown, Mikazuki, and Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park… The city's destinations are preparing tourism products and spectacular shows to be ready to serve tourists from diverse markets.
