On the morning of December 5, the Department of Administrative Police for Social Order (C06, Ministry of Public Security) coordinated with the Hanoi People's Committee and Hanoi Railway One Member Co., Ltd. (Hanoi Metro) to officially apply an automatic ticket checking system using identification, electronic authentication, biometric recognition and cashless payment for passengers on the Cat Linh - Ha Dong urban railway line 2A.
Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long, Deputy Minister of Public Security, also inspected the system operation process at the Cat Linh - Ha Dong urban railway line 2A.

Colonel Vu Trong Du (representative of C06) said that putting into operation the above-mentioned automatic ticket checking system using biometrics and cashless payment is of great significance.
For people, this is a fast and convenient way to travel, no need to carry documents, reduces queuing time, especially useful for the elderly, students, and daily workers.
For businesses, the system helps control tickets transparently and accurately, limit loss, optimize human resources and improve service quality.
In addition, connected and synchronized data helps Hanoi support smart urban traffic management, ensure security and safety, and contribute to reducing traffic congestion.
This is also proof that electronic identification, biometrics and shared digital platforms are gradually entering life, bringing practical benefits to people and businesses - in the spirit of Resolution 57 of the Politburo and Project 06 of the Government.

To operate the system, Hanoi Metro has coordinated with Visa and Thang Long Software Company to evaluate the current status of the AFC system on lines 2A (Cat Linh - Ha Dong) and 3.1 (Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station).
At the same time, develop a plan to upgrade AFC management software, data server, multi-standard reader, control circuit, make full use of existing infrastructure, ensure absolute safety and uninterrupted operation.

According to statistics, since August 20, the system has been tested on the entire 2A route, attracting nearly 9,000 subscribers and more than 116,000 users, receiving many positive responses.
By November 18, Hanoi Metro had completed the conversion to the new system.

Hanoi Metro has completed the installation of multi-standard readers, AI cameras, upgraded gate control circuits, servers and system security; integrated with incident handling systems and fire alarm systems.
Along with that, complete the technical connection with RAR Center to authenticate accounts on Hanoi Metro application, coordinate with RAR and C06 to evaluate system security, synchronize ticket data to VNeID, helping people check and use tickets right on the application.
Hanoi Metro also provides API connection information for RAR/C06 to deploy ticket sales feature on the national VNeID platform...

In the next phase, Hanoi Metro will complete the system integration with the VNeID application, the national ticketing platform and the Ministry of Public Security's Traffic Hub, and complete the system security and safety assessment.

Phase 2 of the plan will be deployed at 8 stations on line 3.1 after the warranty period ends on December 16, starting with hardware upgrades from this date and testing at some stations from December 25 to 31.
