The Ho Chi Minh City Association for the Promotion of Learning awarded scholarships to over 300 students.
The Ho Chi Minh City Association for the Promotion of Learning recently held its traditional Learning Promotion Day and awarded the "1&1 Scholarship" for the 2024-2025 academic year. The "1&1 Scholarship," also known as the "1&1 Scholarship," is a scholarship where a benefactor (individual or organization) sponsors a student and provides the scholarship throughout their studies.
Attending this meaningful ceremony were former Vice President Truong My Hoa; Vice President of the Vietnam Association for the Promotion of Learning Truong Thi Hien; Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council Huynh Thanh Nhan and sponsoring organizations.
At the program, 318 students received scholarships totaling over 1.6 billion VND; of which, 77 students received scholarships for the first time and 241 students continued to receive scholarships for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th time throughout their university years.
Heart-to-heart scholarships with practical meaning.
The 1&1 Scholarship aims to support students in overcoming life's difficulties and create opportunities for talent development to serve the country. According to Associate Professor Dr. Truong Thi Hien, Vice President of the Vietnam Association for the Promotion of Learning, "The 1&1 Scholarship is a scholarship from heart to heart, contributing to the building of a learning society in the city."
Appreciating the practical significance of the talent promotion scholarship, Mr. Huynh Thanh Nhan - Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council - expressed: "The scholarship has empowered thousands of academically gifted students from disadvantaged backgrounds. The Association also focuses on cultivating moral character and developing skills for students. The Association for the Promotion of Learning will continue to promote its role and proactively collaborate with various sectors to improve the effectiveness of promoting learning and talent in the city. We aim to build a learning society with a focus on promoting lifelong learning. We will ensure that no disadvantaged student is forced to drop out of school."
The NQH education system supports 5 students until their graduation.
Attending the 2024 Scholarship Award Ceremony, NQH Education System, in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Association for the Promotion of Learning, contributed 125 million VND to scholarships. In addition, NQH Education System also sponsored five students throughout their university studies until graduation.
