Miss Universe India 2024 attends the launch of the Da Nang – Ahmedabad flight route.

On the afternoon of October 23rd at Da Nang International Airport, the People's Committee of Da Nang City, the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City, Vietjet Air, the Central Aviation Authority, Da Nang International Airport, and Da Nang International Terminal Operating Joint Stock Company held the inauguration ceremony for the Da Nang – Ahmedabad (India) route.

The ceremony was attended by Miss Universe India 2024 Rhea Singha.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi said that in the first nine months of 2024, the city's tourism industry achieved impressive results with 8.67 million overnight visitors, including over 3.17 million international visitors. Notably, the Indian market accounted for 139,086 visitors, a 4.2% increase compared to the same period in 2023, despite the lack of direct flights from major Indian cities to Da Nang.

The tourism products, services, and quality of service in Da Nang in particular and Central Vietnam in general are very suitable for the tastes of Indian tourists. With its beautiful coastline, high-end resorts, and increasingly sophisticated and attractive tourism products such as golf tourism, MICE tourism, wedding tourism, cuisine, and culture, in recent years, Indian tourists have gradually come to know Da Nang as a "paradise" for luxury travel and a wedding destination for Indian billionaires.

Over the past period, the city has received and provided information support to 20 out of 91 MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourist groups from India, and has hosted 4 large weddings of Indian couples with over 1,200 guests.

The Da Nang – Ahmedabad flight route was established to meet the growing travel demand between the two countries and opens up new opportunities for cooperation in the fields of economics, education, culture, and technology…

Information from the Da Nang Department of Tourism also indicates that, on the occasion of the launch of the Da Nang – Ahmedabad flight route, the city's Department of Tourism and Vietjet Air invited Miss Universe India 2024 – Rhea Singha and KOLs Ekta Sandhir to stay, experience, and shoot videos and photo sets promoting Da Nang as a tourist destination.

A famtrip delegation of 20 travel companies and press trip representatives, along with 19 journalists from India, also visited Da Nang to survey tourism, conduct interviews, and produce in-depth articles promoting Da Nang as a tourist destination.
