Nghe An Association in Hanoi gives support to veterans and people affected by floods in Muong Xen commune

On August 4 and 5, a working delegation of the Nghe An Association in Hanoi visited and presented gifts to veterans, youth volunteers and people in difficult circumstances in Muong Xen commune - one of the localities that suffered heavy damage from the recent flood.

The working delegation was led by Dr. Hoang Xuan Luong - Former Standing Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, Former Deputy Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, currently Executive Vice President of Nghe An Association in Hanoi .

Joining the delegation were Major General Luong Hong Phong - Vice President of the Association; Mr. Tran Dinh Thai - Deputy Head of the Office of the Association; Mr. Tran Van Le - Chairman of Phuong Linh Electromechanical Group, a businessman who is a son of Nghe An .

During the working trip, the Association of Fellow Countrymen and businessman Tran Van Le presented more than 100 gifts, including cash and gifts, to war veterans and youth volunteers in the area.

In particular, the delegation directly visited and encouraged 4 families of war veterans with especially difficult circumstances, including Mr. Vo Van Tu, Luong Van Viet, Tran Van Hoang and Phan Thanh Hai. Each family received a gift worth 7 million VND.

In addition, the leaders of the Association also presented 5 million VND in support to the Fatherland Front Committee of Muong Xen commune to help overcome the consequences of natural disasters and stabilize the lives of the people. The total value of this gift giving is nearly 100 million VND - the heart of the children of Nghe An living and working in the capital towards their beloved homeland.
