Vietnam – Singapore Economic Connectivity Ministerial Conference

On the afternoon of October 10, the 19th Vietnam - Singapore Economic Connectivity Ministerial Conference took place in Hanoi. Comrade Nguyen Van Thang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Finance and Singaporean Minister of Manpower Tan See Leng co-chaired the Conference.

The conference was attended by representatives from ministries, departments, and local authorities of Vietnam and Singapore involved in economic cooperation activities. Representing Phu Tho province were Mr. Nguyen Khac Hieu - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Department of Finance; and the Provincial Investment Promotion and Business Support Center.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Khac Hieu attended the 19th Ministerial Conference on Vietnam-Singapore Economic Connectivity in Hanoi and inaugurated the off-airport cargo terminal at YCH Superport Vietnam (Phu Tho province).

At the Conference, both sides reported on and exchanged information on some achievements since the 18th Ministerial Conference; discussed directions for expanding cooperation in the fields of investment, agriculture , construction - transport and infrastructure; energy; digitalization and innovation.

Through the 19th Ministerial Meeting on Economic Connectivity between Vietnam and Singapore, Vietnam affirmed its views and interests in economic cooperation with Singapore to further deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries; requested Singapore to make concerted efforts to implement new initiatives within the framework of the Connectivity Agreement; and encouraged Singaporean businesses to propose new cooperation and increase investment in Vietnam.

On this occasion, the two sides witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement to promote cooperation between Vietnamese agencies and Singaporean businesses; the awarding of an amended investment certificate to Kepel for Phase 1 of Saigon Center; the launch of an action plan on digital transformation between Da Nang City and Grab Vietnam; and the inauguration of an off-airport cargo terminal at YCH SuperPort Vietnam, Phu Tho province.
