Today (July 7), Ho Chi Minh City announced the admission scores for grade 10 public schools for the 2023-2024 school year.

Today (July 7), the Department of Education and Training (DET) of Ho Chi Minh City announced the admission scores for grade 10 of more than 100 public schools in the city.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City announced the benchmark scores for public grade 10 three days earlier than planned (July 10). Currently, the Department is reviewing the final steps and agreeing with schools to announce the benchmark scores.

This year, the 10th grade exam scores in Ho Chi Minh City were better than last year. Of the 95,952 candidates, 84,590 scored 5 or higher in Literature, with only 11,362 scoring below 5. 64,953 scored 5 or higher in Foreign Language, with 30,999 scoring below 5.

In this year’s 10th grade entrance exam, Ho Chi Minh City has more than 90,000 candidates taking the entrance exam to 114 high schools, with a total target of 77,000 students. Previously, at the end of June, the City Department of Education and Training announced the benchmark scores for admission to specialized and integrated schools.

Application submission period: From July 10 to 4:00 p.m. July 25.

Admission documents for high school students include:

• Application form for 2023 junior high school graduation and entrance exam; Grade 10 admission score report with exam scores and 3 wishes; Junior high school transcript (original);
• Temporary graduation certificate issued by educational institutions and birth certificate verified from the application for grade 10 entrance exam; submit the original diploma when issued by the Department of Education and Training;
• Certificate of preferential policies (if any) issued by competent authority.
